Holidayhome Fani is in the medieval village of Radicofani. This village is famous for its castle of 973 near the Via Francigena. The village is in the beautiful Val d' Orcia, the southern part of the province of Siena. It is close to the thermal baths, lakes and mountains.

Radicofani is 814 meters above sea level and even in summer it is never too hot. The most important monuments of the village are the large establishment overlooking the valley, two churches with beautiful art works, a small Jewish quarter. Furthermore, an ancient villa which had famous guests such as Mozart , Charles Dickens, Thomas Gray and several popes.

Parts of the ancient Via Francigena, you can take on foot or by bike. Nearby are beautiful villages and towns such as Pienza, Montalcino, Montepulciano and Brunello. Each season has its own charm. In spring with flowers of every color in the surrounding fields. In summer Radicofani is very pleasant because of the high altitude. And in autumn with beautiful fall colors and woods full of mushrooms and chestnuts.
