Frieschepalen means that it is separated by border posts with Groningen and Friesland. Some of these old landmarks are still available and there is also a very nice walk, where some of these poles come. The forests of Bakkeveen, Ureterp / Wijnjewoude and beautiful Olterterp / Beetsterzwaag. If you drive a little further, you reach the places Appelscha and Diever. Walking or cycling in the Dwingelderveld, which consists of 6000 hectares, is beautiful. You are also close to the Frisian lakes. Here you can relax and only 15 car minutes away from the house. It is also wonderful Lauwersmeer the old harbor Oostmahorn close. And the Island Schiermonnikoog is definitely worth a visit from there. Reminisce on everything you have done with coffee or wine in the garden and relax in a lovely bed!
