Rickenbach lies in the Hotzenwald, south of the Black Forest and between St. Blasien and Bad Säckingen in the middle of nature. Here you find the typical hilly country blessed with fine views almost as far as to the Swiss Alps. Small villages and extensive woodland typify the area. There are many interesting places to visit in this area; you could visit the Steinen Bird Park (30 km.), the biggest waterfall in Europe in Schaffhausen (65 km.) or make a city trip to Basel in Switzerland (40 km.) or Mühlhausen in France (80 km). In the Hamlet of Altenschwand (2 km. from Rickenbach) stands country house Mutter on a 3000m2 plot which is blessed with views of the surrounding nature. The accommodation is on the ground floor and has a surface of 100m2. The winter garden and the fireplace make this a comfortable house to live in, regardless of the season. The garden has a terrace with garden furniture for you to enjoy.
